Born in Hastings in 1979 and growing up just outside Bristol I have always been drawn to Art and working with my hands. I became inspired from an early age by my Grandfather a retired aerospace engineer who noticed and nurtured my desire to help in his restoration projects. Leaving school I studied at The Royal College of Art in Bristol and planned for a career in the Arts. However life had other ideas and the need for employment to survive took me in new directions. Reluctantly furthering my education in the Arts came to an end but my desire to create continued to grow. Now in my thirties with years to reflect on I took steps to make a career from my skills and strive to turn what has become an obsessive hobby of Art exploration, creation and my desire to work in the creative industry into a reality . I spend all my free time working on ideas that grab my interest and building on my portfolio often immersed in several projects at the same time. I hold on to the values installed into me at a young age I have a passion for make do and mend and why buy it if you can make it for yourself.
A great interest in Metal Sculpture has emerged over the last few years and with the launch of my website I began selling my work to the World. Now in its second year and having just completed my first corporate commission I look forward to the future and actively look for a career in which I can build on my strengths and explore new skills.
